It's Official

John told his parents about our big move today. We are so excited to be 'heading east' so that we can be with family and settle in to a more relaxing life.

We are still hoping to buy the house on the lake but will have to wait until August to see if it works out. In a nutshell, the couple is in the process of divorcing which has made negotiations interesting. Hopefully the dust will have settled by August and we can put a deal in place. Here are some pictures of the house.

Addi's Last Day at Gymnastics

Today was the last day of gymnastics. Addison had a great time. She has no fear which makes it a little crazy at times. Here are some pics and video.

Our Visit with Nonie In Vancouver

The girls and I went to visit John's aunt while she was in Vancouver on her way home from Alaska. It was a short visit but we had lots of fun. Today is Bek's birthday but we celebrated it yesterday in Vancouver. A few weeks ago Rebekah told me that one of her wishes was to go on a double decker bus ride. We decided that we would combine a trip to the aquarium with a "Big Bus" ride around Vancouver on a double decker bus. I was so disappointed when the bus came to take us to the aquarium. It was a regular school bus not a double decker bus!

We enjoyed all the different wildlife at the aquarium, especially the new baby beluga who was born on June 10th. We didn't get a great look as they were limiting the viewing because it is a critical bonding time for mom and baby but we did get a few good glimpses.

After we were finished at the aquarium we walked towards the bus stop but missed the bus so we had to wait for the next one. I can't even describe the look on Rebekah's face when she saw the double decker bus coming towards us. She was very excited and I was relieved since the bus fare wasn't cheap! We took a tour all around downtown Vancouver (Robson Street, Chinatown, Gastown, Canada Place etc.) and then got off at Granville Island for a bite to eat. Here are some of the pictures from our day.

Waiting patiently to get in. There was a very long line up.
Thank goodness we bought our tickets in advance.

Rebekah's Kindergarten Graduation

We went to Rebekah's kindergarten graduation and barbecue on June 20th. It was fun but a little crazy. Between the morning and afternoon classes there are 40 kids in kindergarten. Including family there were probably 80 kids there! They had photos with a cap and gown and each received diplomas. Here are a few pictures. I didn't get very many as it was difficult to hold Addison and take pictures at the same time.

Juniper Windrops - U6 Soccer

Rebekah had a great time playing soccer this year. It was amazing to see how much all the girls improved in such a short time. They went from crowding around the ball and kicking it anywhere to stopping the ball, passing it and playing defensively. It was fun to watch them.

Fathers Day Tournament

Three cheers for the Bumble Bees and one for the Winddrops!

Happy Fathers Day!

Rebekah posing. Her net is almost smaller than the ball!!

Addi with her soccer ball. She spends more time moving the net on Rebekah than she does kicking the ball.

Rebekah's official soccer photo. Only 4 of her team members showed up for the team photo so it's pretty sad. We hope to get a team photo after our game this Monday.

Updated Pictures

The tooth fairy has visited our house twice already. Rebekah lost her first tooth (bottom front) on the long weekend. We were visiting friends at a soccer tournament so I had to hold it until the end of the game. She lost the other one last weekend when she was eating her lunch. I can't believe she is getting so big.

Addi has a similar expression on her face but thankfully she still has all her teeth.
